Goddard Music Tutors was founded by mother and son, Sally G Matthews CT ' VCM and George Matthews BSc (Hons).
Sally Matthews, a seasoned music educator, established her first music tutoring business in 1987, focusing on guitar, piano, and keyboard. With over three decades of experience, her dedication to nurturing musical talent has been unwavering.
George Matthews BSc brings a modern edge to the business with his extensive expertise in piano, a professional background spanning finance and education, he holds a First-Class Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. Together, they have built Goddard Music Tutors into a premier Essex-based agency, specialising in piano, keyboard, and guitar instruction. Their mission is to provide exceptional music education tailored to inspire and empower students of all ages.

Sally Matthews, founder of Goddard Music Tutors, has over 30 years of experience in music education, first establishing her teaching business in 1987. Dedicated to nurturing musicians of all ages and abilities, she has built a strong reputation for personalized, high-quality tuition across Essex. Now, in collaboration with her son, George Matthews, she has expanded Goddard Music Tutors into a dynamic, family-run agency, continuing to inspire and guide students on their musical journey through expert in-home and online lessons.

George Matthews BSc (Hons) Co-Founder
Having started his first Essex based tutoring agency Scholar2Scholar.ltd. after completing A-levels in Maths A*, Economics A*, Computer Science A, George has co-established Goddard Music Tutors. George has previously worked in various roles in Corporate Finance and holds a First Class (Hons) in Economics from Queen Mary University of London
